Some clever ways to stay awake

Tired? Falling asleep over your homework/work/knitting? Well, here are some clever ways to stay awake, as employed by yours truly (or maybe not):

1. Caffeine in one of its myriad of manifestations - coffee, tea, coke, and chocolates.

2. Running around your house and/or block a few times. With no pants on - that should get your adrenaline flowing.

3. Crank calls.

4. Distracting yourself from your primary task by convincing yourself that your CD collection really does need a new filing system (alphabetization is so last year).

5. Speed.

6. Propping your eyelids up with little stilts that you've cleverly fashioned out of toothpicks and cotton balls.

and finally, my favorite (this one really is a classic):

7. Going to bed and convincing yourself that you'll have enough time to finish it in the morning.

How about you? Any other ideas?

if you want to stay awake all you have to do is not go to sleep.....Duh, idiots............or you can try masterbation thats all i have to do and i get a good hour after i'm done without a yawn...then you get tired again and jack off again...or finger yourself or use your toys...i love anal stimulation as well but to each his own right? try it...it may work

the trick is to get enough sleep at night-8 hours really doesn't seem like enough, does it? Me? I try to get in about 10 hours or just go to high school tired. like today. where im at now.

OK, I learned this one while on the rez, and it works like a charm, especially if you're falling asleep at the wheel.
Get a bag of sunflower seeds and work on those puppies for a few hours. You occupy your mind enough (by trying to seperate the shell from the seed with your tongue) to stay totally awake. Though you may have a numb tongue (no, seriously) by the time you're done...all that salt doesn't do a tongue good, but it's better than crashing your car!
